Middle of a Lightning Storm Stood out in the rain like an fool a few days ago, trying to capture a lighting shot. I managed a few, here is the best one. I was a little paranoid about my camera getting wet not to mention the amount of lighting that was freqently occuring all around me, but I held my ground for a good 60 minutes before retiring my efforts. Next time, Ill get in the car and travel to a better location, perhaps in a field or other location where my horizon is not blocked by trees and houses.
It is nice.
For future shoots if you're storm chasing: lightning doesn't follow the "rules." Try taking pictures from your car where a strike is not likely to hurt you or wreck your gear.
the shot is nice, but i agree with ashley: be a bit more careful.....
did you know that men are 4 times more often struck death by lightning than women (in this case) they are just smarter;-)
